F4U-1D Corsair - Pair of Scale Wheels 7"
Description:
This Scale Wheel is a replica of the standard Vought Corsair Wheel. Its giant size of 7 inch is SCALE! Most Corsair models have wheels too small for the actual size of the aircraft. This is because the space in the gull wing is limited, when retracted. CARF has designed the center gull wing so that the full size wheel fits.
The standard Sullivan tyres have been cut in halves and 6 mm (1/4") material has been removed in the center, then glued back together to form the narrow scale wheel required.
